The removal of coal tar creosote from sale to the general public led to an unexpected outcry from customers for a direct replacement. After much development work, Bartoline are delighted to be able to offer New formula creosote. This new product is a preparation comprising of petroleum distillates and synthetically manufactured substances, but not containing coal tar. New formula creosote has all the other benefits of it's predecessor, including the legendary wood preserving qualities. It also looks, smells and applies like the traditional creosote, but it is not as aggressive and is therefore less damaging to skin and foliage - users should always read the label. New formula creosote is a fully registered product with the HSE. Brushes can now be cleaned with White Spirit.
